Commander Edition unlocks three days before the Standard Edition: November 30, 2026 and December 3, 2026.
The delay to December 3
KING Art announced the move from September 17 to December 3 on August 12, 2026, in a video by Jan Theysen, the studio's co-founder and creative director.
The post thanks the playtesters for their feedback; the reasons themselves are given in the video. The Battlefield Reports since then show balance work, such as changes to the Necron Power Matrix based on community feedback.
The new dates were repeated on September 30, 2026: launch on December 3, with Commander Edition players able to start three days early, on November 30, 2026.
Release timeline
Two closed alpha tests ran before the date was set: one in November 2025 and one from December 12 to 15, 2025, small and under NDA, with sign-ups through the official newsletter.
No open beta has been announced. Pre-orders opened on May 21, 2026, with a 10% discount on both editions.
